This is a pictorial of my preamp project based on a variant of the Bottlehead Foreplay cathode follower http://www.bottlehead.com . Many thanks to Doc Bottlehead for keeping DIY alive. You inspired me Doc!

This one uses 6SN7s which is my favorite family of preamp tubes, although the 12AU7 family comes pretty close. It's tube rectified, uses DC on the filaments and incorporates several circuit changes thanks to by good friend Cornelius Morton (Con), retired electrical engineer and audio wizard! It's line level only and uses no tone controls or balance control. I wanted to keep the signal path clean, short and simple.
